Mack Diesel Truck Engines We Sell
Buyer’s Guide, Specs & Inventory

From the proven E7 / E-TECH to modern MP7 and high-output MP8, Mack® engines are tuned for vocational work: dump, mixer, refuse, and heavy regional haul. Use this list to jump directly to the engine family and rating you’re shopping for. Each page includes fitment notes, common HP/torque ranges, and pre-buy checklists.

Mack E7 / E-TECH (12.0L)

Late-90s to early-2000s workhorse. Broad torque below 1,400 rpm, simple packaging, and a huge parts ecosystem. Offered as mechanical and E-TECH electronic, with both non-EGR and EGR variants across ratings from ~300–460 HP.

Mack AI / ASET

Transitional generation bridging E-TECH and MP series with emissions updates (EGR) and vocational-focused calibrations. Solid pull and familiar serviceability for mixed routes.

Mack MP7 (10.8L)

Lighter weight with responsive torque for urban routes and weight-sensitive specs: refuse, mixer, and metro delivery. Modern aftertreatment (DPF/DEF/SCR) and integrated electronics.

Mack MP8 (12.8L)

Heavier-duty vocational/regional with stronger top-end power and cooling capacity. Great for grades, PTO work, and sustained pulls.
